The Sims 4 is getting its next game pack. A game pack is a little smaller than an expansion, but bigger than getting a selection of tables (otherwise known as a Stuff Pack). Next on the chopping block is Vampires. Now you can be one and turn others into one. I could go on at length about how this was in the last game already and Sims 4 has been out for a while now but that ship sailed long ago.
So now that you can be a Vampire, you get all the perks that come with being a Vampire. Including, but not limited to, super strength, super speed, enthrallment and glowing eyes. When you become a Vampire, your whole aesthetic changes and you take on a rather demonic persona. You have to also feed your vampire urges with… yes! Plasma! Yep, not blood, plasma. I don’t know why this is but it’s a bit silly really. Just have old fashioned blood. I don’t even understand you drain “plasma” out of others when you bite into their arteries. You can also grow plasma plants or buy plasma to get your fix if you are playing someone with stunted social abilities.
Interestingly, Sims can be born as vampires. But they don’t get any spooky manifestations till they’re in their teens. There is also a new world for you to play in. Forgotten Hollow is a Vampire wonderland since it’s dark and dismal all the time. It has five lots on it so it’s about the same size as the campgrounds area, Granite Falls. The architecture is very gothic and the surrounding areas are all misty and spooky like something out of a classic horror flick. This all comes with vampire furnishings and outfits so you can complete the spooky look when you want to immerse yourself in it.
It will be released on 24th January. You can check out the trailer for the Vampires game pack right here, and if you want more information you can find that on their official site. There’s also one of those crappy quizzes to do to find out what vampire you are… I’m the creepy one that looks like Nosferatu.
